How can i become a Garbage Truck driver?

How does one get experience at this job? are there schools for this? any help would be appreciated ! also the type of truck im talking about has usualy only one person operating it, around here in phoenix we have the big trashcans and the trucks have and arm that comes out and picks up the can, dumps it and then puts it back down…. thanks again

start small
pick up after yourself
then
ask the drivers that pick up where u live
You won't start out as a driver. You'll start out riding on the back, picking up the trash. As you get tenure and seniority, you might work up into the driver's spot. You will have to get a Class B CDL at the least to drive the truck. Your employer might be able to help you with this as you will need a truck to test out on.
Put in your applications!!! Start at the bottom and work your way up!
