why dont you look for a job at a electric company or a contract crew for an electric company, they hire people just for driver/operators

I would try anyone that supplies fuel at truckstops, or a Pilot or Loves that haul their own(loves is Gemini leased) Catch someone when they are dumping fuel and ask some questions, there is always the lumber buss. sticks or pulp

It's fairly easy to find long-haul driving jobs, because there is still a high demand for them, but local, home-every-night jobs are harder to find. It's the slow season for construction work right now, but you may start looking for dirt or gravel hauling jobs, or building material delivery.

Your best bet may be to go online to job hunting web sites, like HotJobs or Monster.com, and see what's available in your area.

Try a local freight company like Con-way.com or Yellow freight, roadway, fed-ex. You are going to need your endorsements like Hazmat and Doubles/Triples.
