GPS Tracking a Truck Driving down a Hill
Road82 asked:
This is a side by side video. One view is out the window the other is a video screen capture of the gps map. (watch the altitude, 2000 foot drop in 3 minutes) Filmed in Lewiston Idaho
. Microsoft streets and trips is the software used.

Nice vid I've never driven that specific part of ID before.

Haha the truck sounded like the motor would blow up or the thing was doing 90 running on a hair dryer motor or one of those little motors in a little figure 8 race track. But naa it was going 45 most of the time..lol
Hey Sam.
Microsoft Streets and Trips was used - with the gps antenna. I used Snagit to do the screen capture while driving. So, the program was running on the laptop realtime.
what technologies did you use to collect the data and send it to your map
adobe after effects for the editing. Microsoft streets and trips with GPS antenna for the other end.
what program do you use? lol:)
You got it.
That was the sound of the engine though. Speed up. It would of been a very long video otherwise.
How bout a view out the front window next time? ANd skip it with the sound effects,
I love the sound of the *real* engine RPM
